Hey, Maybe this modification is just lost on me but is there any noticeable advantage to these steering wheels?
Or is it simply a 'look' that people go for?

I'd assume they're lighter but surely that can't help too much..?
I've been looking at these a lot lately..just curious.

The car would be fast road/track so..aye..

    The "racing" steering wheels?

I find a small difference in my holding of the car. I feel like I have more security with it as they have the "bumps" on it.

they're usually smaller than the original wheel so steering is more direct.

Personally i would not fit one of the car came with an airbag.

They are usually smaller and easier to grip.

Sacrificing an airbag for looks would be foolish IMO.

I agree completely, I'm just wondering of the advantages of them.

So basically it's mostly the smaller wheel so easier to grip?
Doesn't really sound worth it to me..ah well.

I thought this would be pretty obvious, your hands have to move less to steer with a smaller wheel. That makes it easier to drive on track

They are usually covered in suede to give extra grip too.

Wouldn't put one on a road car but they are a must on a track car

Yeah I wasn't aware they were smaller though.

You can have better grip, i think they are more comfertable and they also
look very well unless it looks like it should be stearing a spaceship ha

Could null and void your insurance too.

they are the same fabric as racing gloves so provide alot more grip while turning.
smaller as people have pointed out

and no air bag.. air bags some times casue more trouble than they are worth.. also if you using it on a track you dont want it going off for some thing small and running your day..

( if your using it as a track day car stick in a 6 point harness and wear a hans and you will be grand.)

they feel a way nicer... easier to grip... the fact that they are smaller will make your steering a bit heavier and feel more responsive...other then that they just look nice..:)
