Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

check that the mileage is genuine, it's way below average for the year, most tdi's of that age have twice the mileage

ya i thought that exactly,it may have been clocked,is there anyway of knowing???People do say check to see if the pedals or upholstery is well worn but is there any mechanical way of knowing???

easiest way is look for a full service history and/or do a cartell or equivalent check. It can be hard to visually/mechanically tell the difference between 110k miles and 160k miles.
To be honest unless it had a full service history i would assume it has been clocked and look elsewhere

I wouldn't say it's way below the average mileage, if you take 12K as the annual average.

probably 12k average for an irish petrol car and 16k for an irish diesel , I would say it's much higher for a uk diesel , there's tons of 5 year old uk cars with that mileage

At that age it's highly unlikely to have a full service history. Buy on condition and the drive as opposed to the mileage and get it checked out buy a mechanic before buying to make sure it's in order

A4 TDI have no problem doing these types of miles , look out for a noise in the front suspensions (link arms give trouble) other wise good you will have no problems.
