Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

price for photographing a rugby game and writing the article

    how much would you charge for covering a rugby match and writing up a small article for the game?? it is a small club and dont want to price myself out of the running. :confused: all help greatly appreciated

    It would depend on what they want - how many images, what they want to do with the images (website/paper/programme, etc). You also have to consider your time (to be at the match, and also to process images).

    General freelance rates for local papers would be €40 for each task individually. It's not a lot but images are single use only.

    i would think that about 4/5 images per game. the article and and pics would go to there website and then to local newspapers. then mayb an hour and a half approx to edit images and type up report??

    im guessing this does not include expenses, what is the going rate concerning expenses

    You should be able to paid by each of the papers that receive and print photos. Contact each of them individually to see what their rates are, and conditions of payments.

    Some local papers will insist on seeing a tax clearance cert before making payment, or they will withhold some of the money. I kidd you not!

    And make sure you have a few pics per each paper, dont send the same pics to each one, and they will have to be captioned. that's more than an hours work (for me anyway) for each match.

    You get the flat rate and no expenses
