    Hey all,
Just wondering where the law stands with regards carrying an under 12 in the front seat. If the car has no useable back seats, can an under 12 be seated in the front?
    Thanks

If it has no back seats, e.g. MX-5, then there is no issue. A car with only 2 seats has neither front, nor rear, seats. It merely has........seats.....

Even in a car with front and rear seats, the answer is yes, they still can.

A child may travel in a front seat of a car so long as, if under 1.5m in height and weighing less than 36kgs (taken to be in the 11/12 yr old range), they use an appropriate child seat or booster cushion. If over that height/weight, then they can use the stanard seat belt.

As you can see from HERE the whole thing is fairly straightforward.

I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Thanks for that! Means I can decide on what 2 seater to get! :D

Also, I can now get a proper safety cage fitted to the mini, and have it floor cross mounted across the back!
