Hi all, first post but been lurking here for months.

I was reading through this forum and came across the wavefrontier t90 muti lnb dish and it is perfect for what I want to do.

I have a block of 4 flats that I want to setup with up to 8 satellites (8 because of the equipment I can find available).

I am looking at the following equipment from atendo.de
    a t90 dish http://www.atendo.de/index.php?a=461&lang=eng
8 alps universal quad lnbs http://www.atendo.de/index.php?a=456&lang=eng

and the following diseq switches from ac-sat-corner.de
emp diseqc switch 9/1 (8 lnb 1 terrestrial to 1 output) http://www.ac-sat-corner.de/shop/product_info.php?cPath=17&products_id=2397 need to have the terrestrial channels rte etc.

I will be using 4 dreambox 500s clones (cheapest I can find as these things tend to get nicked when people move out).

    So a few questions,

    1. Does anyone know where to get all that eq at a reasonable price in Ireland? I have the dreamboxes.

    2. There are 4 polish girls in 2 of the flats and a german girl in another and an Irish lad in the 4th so what are the best satellites to set the lnb's to? going to put 28.2e at the furthest eastern edge.

    3. The lad has expressed an interest in getting a card for premier football (cyfra+ seems to be a decent card according to posts here) so will that work in a dreambox 500s?

4 any advice on the setup at all would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

For german - you need one lnb pointed at 19.2*E
For polish - you need one lnb pointed at 13*E

Yes, this (legitmate) card will work in a dreambox.

No. Stick with the german sites - like the one you mentioned. Compare it with the likes of hm-sat.de and satplace.de and others. Make sure you have ordered everything together...if you forget something, then reordering will cost ye becuase of the delivery charge.

You will need slimline lnbs (either alps as you mentioned or there is one other brand whose name escapes me at the moment. Only the slimlines will fit close enough together). I have a similar setup with alps quad lnbs. I think you might be better to go with quattro lnbs and a proper switch - there are others here who can advise you more clearly on this. Its also good to bear in mind that hd (which you may not be concerned with right now but will be in the near future) needs two sat feeds. Another reason to go for quattros and a proper switch.

To hell with that! No dreamboxes returned = no deposit returned surely?

    Lastly,
With regard to the T90, its one mother of a dish. Are you wall mounting or ground mounting? Mines ground mounted and from the point of view of setup and ongoing stability, ground mounting is best if its possible in your case. If not - and you have to wall mount, you need to consider how exposed the site is. As you have probably seen from previous boards posts, there are others who have wall mounted successfully - but it must be a hell of a job getting it up there.

you are better sticking to 4 satellite feeds + TV aerial. This can easily feed 8 PVRs via a SINGLE 17 to 16 EMP multiswitch and 4 x Quattro LNBs

Your solution can only ever feed 4 outlets and needs 4 of the Diseqc switches. No-one can install a PVR sky+ or SkyHD with that.

Also many receivers don't work reliably with more than 4 way.

    Avoid Clones of anything.

Make position 1 = 28.2 amd then Sky box works.

28.2E 19E & 13E almost covers everything. The 4th can be whatever, so one option is a regular 80/90cm Triax dish with Multi LNB bracket and 28, 19 13 E LNBs and a separate dish for anything from 42E to 30W according to tenant/popular demand (42E Turkis, 39E Greek, 25E Arabic, 23.5E German pay TV, 5E Russian/Ukraine 1W Scandinavian 5W French, 30W spanish etc)

Eh no, HD uses the same feeds as "normal" sat, unless you mean a PVR like Sky+
