Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The amount of couples who have mentioned this to me is unnerving. So I'm asking AHers the same question. Have you had less sex (with the same person) since your kids were born?

How much less sex have you had since your kid(s) were born? 16 votes

Well you usually have to give her a couple of days to recover.

Just make sure that the doctor puts an extra stitch or two down there for your pleasure.

That's pretty much the gist of it I'm getting OP. Marriage+kids = no more regular sex.

It's assumed husbands just put up with it.

E: I will never get married.

Have four kids. Still very active.
Poll should include "more than once a week".

I would imagine it losses it's appeal once it becomes like throwing a javelin down O'Connell St.

From what I’ve heard the correct analogy you should be using is throwing a sausage down O'Connell St.

    Serious answer:

After the first one arrived we went into a tailspin of barely coping with life so sex got pushed down the agenda and the first year was pretty much celibate. After we got our act together things got back to more or less where they were (marginally better than before if anything). A brief hiatus for the difficult second pregnancy aside things have been normal since. The norm from talking to other parents seems to be that when the kids are young things suffer but as they get older it usually picks up again.

    AH answer:

Sure, she's exhausted now with the childer so there's lots of sneaky sex when she's asleep which keeps me going :pac:
