    Yes you read it right.

I understand cheap and castle don't usually go in the same sentence.

Have some friends over from Oz and the want to stay in an Irish Castle but on a budget so castle lesley is out.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, they will be covering the whole island so not regional based.

The more ghosties and ghoulies the better. :D

    Thanks in advanced.

You want self catering - the whole place to yourself? Or B&B style?

    Hi olaola,

    No, just B&B/Hotel.

Checked out a few on a similar website that stated you basicly had to rent the whole castle for a week ???

Just thought some one would know of a hotel room priced, in a castle setting.

    Will keep looking.

Either that or Clontarf Castle, does that count as a castle ??

When are your freinds looking at staying. Dromoland Castle were doing great rates last spring for three nights B&B for around 350 euro....not bad for a five star hotel. I'd say they'll do the same in autumn along with all the other hotels/castles.........

You might consider Cabra Castle, near Kingscourt Co Cavan and convenient to both the N2 and N3

Haven't personally stayed there but have visited a number of times. Lovely location. Have a look at the photos online.
Check a number of different hotel websites for prices.

    Thanks for the replies.
Their over at the moment headed north today.

So these options would suit in the next week or two.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Think you've cracked it :D
