Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Has anyone been using rechargeable AA's in their flash for a while and could recommend a good brand, size and best place to get em?

Try Argos for the Energizer Batteries. Get the 2450mAh ones. They hold a bigger charge than standard ones.

Sanyo Eneloop batteries are your best bet. They don't lose their charge whilst laying idle like most rechargeable batteries.

I got some Sanyo Eneloop batteries a while back and they are great. I don't use my flash very much and the big advantage with them is that they don't lose their charge for a very long time. Most rechargables would be dead if you leave them unused for any length of time. I bought them in March, have never charged them and they fire up the flash straight away. I'm using the 550. I believe there are other manufacturers doing similar batteries.

+1 for the Sanyo Eneloop's. They're rated at 2000mA. Worked a treat in my 580 ExII. I think they'll last longer as they hold their charge for longer so you won't have to keep charging them. I got fed up charging a whole set of batteries just so that I could use them for a few minutes only to have them useless again in a day or two.

Just came across this iBOOD. Today's offer looks like just what you want. Delivery can be slow but I have bought a good few things from them with no problems: http://www.ibood.com/ie/en/product_specs/12708/Pure_Energy_USB_and_Enviro_Battery_Charger_with_AA_and_AAA_Rechargeable_Battery_Pack/

The delivery charge is a bit steep on small products like this though: €12.50
