Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Wenger buys a ticket they're in with a chance with the euromillions. But the other 2? Not a chance in hell

You do realise once Arsenal got Arshavin they lost once?

Also, can any Celtic fan tell me why they aren't in the Champions section? They did win yeah?

The Parkhead tie will be fantastic, im predicting a 2-1 win to Celtic, with Arsenal to win 3-0 in the emirates to go through.

Tough game at Parkhead tbh. We'll need to take it far more seriously than some of the fans here. That being said it'll be grand at the Emirates and I expect to win over the two ties.

Have to say I'm fairly suprised at the fans of both sides both certain they're going through.

It's going to be a fairly tough and competitive game from both teams and I reckon away goals could certainly come into it.

I'd fancy Arsenal to nick it by a goal

The first leg is down for the 18th but U2 are playing in Hampden the same night so i wouldnt be too surprised if the game got moved to the 19th for policing reasons. Just a thought for all booking flights to go to the game.

I doubt it will get moved to be honest.

The police are talking about moving it.

5-3 to the Arsenal on aggregate.

Possibly 2-2 at Celtic Park and 3-1 to Arsenal at Ashburton Grove.

    €20.

Tough tie for Celtic, but I felt it was always going to be tough for them to get through to the group stages considering the teams they could meet in the 3rd round. I can't see past Arsenal going through over the two legs but hopefully it will be a cracking couple of games.

About 7 years ago, in a UEFA cup competition no one cared about.

    Gotta clutch I guess.

Now I must admit to having underestimated the Arsenal.

they were very impressive against Everton.

Lets hope that Celtic have a bit more to offer.

    poor Liverpool
They always feel so sorry for themselves.
Robbie went back to Spurs and Liverpool got spanked.

And I suppose Manchester United, Juventus, Shakhtar, Villarreal, AC Milan, Barcelona, Benfica, Lyon, Benfica, Stuttgart, Porto, Shakhtar, Rosenborg, Basle, Suduva, Blackburn, Celta Vigo, Kaunas, MTK Hungaria, Anderlecht, Teplice, Artmedia and Copenhagen didn't care either?

    Well done Arsenal.
26 years since an English team won at Paradise.
    Well deserved.

Thankfully nobody held their breath waiting for sorry Liverpool to do it.
    No chance.
    Robbie saw the light there.

The goals Celtic lost were unfortunate but the bottom line is Arsenal were comfortably the better team. I'm surprised so many people fancied Celtic had a chance. There's a gulf in class between the top 4 and the rest in the Premier League so what chance did an SPL side have.

Strachan summed it up pretty well. Wenger had a machine gun going into the tie and Mowbray had a water pistol.

Didn't hear the post match comments. But did Strachan say Celtic had water pistols? He should know, he bought the ammo

He was talking about the differences in the resources available to both sides. It wasn't really an insult against Celtic he was just saying they don't have the means to compete with the top Premier League sides.

By resources do they mean players at their disposal or financial resources?

The financial resources. He was talking about the expensive players Celtic bought in days gone by like Chris Sutton and saying that it can't happen any more.

    Looking forward to tonights game.

Hope Wilshere and Merida can get a half hour or so if we can get a few early goals.

Confident enough that Ramsey could fill in for Cesc aswell, although I have a feeling it might be Diaby in there instead.
