Not sure what you mean by virtual lab. If you're looking for a decent Netopia replacement, get yourself a Linksys WRT54GL and flash some opensource firmware like Polarcloud Tomato onto it. Although it is a wireless box, you can turn the WiFi function off if you wish. Very solid router.
