UPC wireless problem

    Hi all,

    This wireless network is driving me mad:confused:. Help please, anyone.

    Problem : wired connection works, wireless on itouch works, wireless on laptop does NOT work(i mean can not open any page), the wireless icon atstus wireless connection is connected, i am using DELL Wireless WLAN CARD UTILITY as driver.

    I think the problems are
    " wireless network IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2"
    and
    "DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1".

    Also ping 66.102.9.104

    Also,there has no problems using two wireless networks in my college.

    So you can't access your UPC wireless internet at all? What about a direct Ethernet connection?

    You've almost got the problem figured out.
    I'm going to assume your using the new combined modem/wireless router and the not the old Scientific Atlanta with a seperate router. Also since the iTouch works on the wireless I'm gonna say it ain't the routers fault.

    I don't know if you have XP or Vista so the steps here will be different for which windows you have. You'll need to open the properties for your wireless network adaptor and check the settings for ipv4 these should be set to receive automatically for IP and DNS. If you have ay firewall software turn this off temporarily to be sure it isn't interfering, sometimes they can.
