My finest car was a 2L Turbo Scooby Impreza on a 98 plate in subaru blue with 240bhp and the most beautifull sounding addictive dump valve, i only owned the car for 4 months before i cudnt justify the petrol costs every week.

Coming off downhill slip roads onto the motorway in 2nd/3rd gear i was sure no car could touch it for speed (id be wrong but thats the pace it felt like), but it had crap brakes, made you all the more aware and alert though as you would be touching rear bumpers in the blink off an eye on full throttle and not wanting to ease off!

I took my dad for a spin in it out on Mayo's finest laneways, he drives a 1.4l fabia, i swear i nearly converted him and got him to take it off my hands!

Everyone who likes their cars should experience a turbo scooby.

Only car I ever regret having sold was a '94 Audi Quattro 2.8. Very subtle looking car, british racing green with cream leather interior and all the bells and whistles. Handled like a go-kart and seriously quick. Very thirsty little jammer though. Want it back - can't find another one like it! Closest I came to finding one similar was a nice tasty royal blue S2 but it had more than likely had the stones driven out of it so I let it go..........

Touché........my one was an '86 Audi Coupe Quattro (non-turbo), in Alpine White with factory blacked-out lens' etc..........damn, damn, damn, should have kept it.

Next up, further back, 1984 (iirc) Alfa Giuletta 1.8. Drove the nuts off it, couldn't kill it.

And, like a few more on here, the MX-5 (still have, actually).

'sfunny, I don't miss the 911 at all ......

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Best car I've owned was my 95' corolla 5 door ceres (I'm easily pleased!). By no means anything special, just an ordinary car but looking back and comparing it to other cars I've owned the fact that it was just plain sailing hassle free motoring means a lot. I was a fool to get rid of it.

Now the worst yoke I've owned. A 96' Renault Megavan 1.9 flat diesel...Man what a heap of French junk. Head gasket blew, constantly getting air-locked, exhaust fell off, very dodgy electrics, body panels seemed to go out of alignment out of their own accord, dented easily and very very rattly. Think the frenchies should stick to what they know best, making wine maybe?? People will probably reply saying they had years of hassle free motoring experience in french cars but above was my experience of em and its enough to say I will never drive one again!
