Need part made for SXS

    I have a SXS shotgun with a broken extractor/ejector cam, basically this part is located in the fore end and when the gun is broken the extractors turn on a cam and which push into 2 rods on the bottom of the barrel which causes the gun to eject the fired cartridges and recock the firing pins. The gun isn't made anymore and this particular part is proving hard to source. Its one of the spanish makes.

    My options are to just do without the part and let the shotgun function without the ejectors on the barrels or have the gun sent to Birmingham in England and have the part remade, this is going to cost a fortune as to have the gun sent there and back is going to cost €120 + the repair work after that.

    Does anyone know of a gunsmith that will make a part for a shotgun in Ireland.

    Try www.gunparts.com in the US.They have rakes of bits for all types of guns,and might have the part or somthing simmilar,and will export non critical parts to the EU.

    Try a bloke by the name of john conroy in hopall co. laois hes very skilled and should be able to sort you out buddy.
