stopping smoking - a thank you

    Today I ran/power walked 5km in 45 min :)

    5 months ago I couldnt even run to the bus stop but I lurked on this board for weeks , reading all the info on giving up the smokes and eventualy just did it.

    so thank you to everyone whos messgaes etc motivated and helped me stop...Ive never felt better

    i read the two threads at the top of the stickies- once i understood what made me smoke and what would happen when you stop it wasnt too bad. Well- it was hell for a few days but after that not too bad.

    I made a ist of the pros of not smoking and the cons of still smoking. Also someone, here I think, told me that the only thing smoking a cigerette does is make you want another one. It doesnt destress you etc
