you dont really make friend while playing ps3 online..... not with the autofinding of matchs and not being able to choose a server.

oh and i didnt have the ps3 for the first 2 weeks....
i realised how crap tv is.....compared to streaming or downlading anything i want to watch when i want on a pc...

It would definately be difficult to live without a computer and internet, but it wouldn't be impossible. We'd have to simply fill in our time with something else. I'd probably buy a dog to pass the time. :pac:

Was only thinking about this today myself although I knew we all have thought about it at some stage and yes, computers have taken over our lives .But we may well ask what would happen if all mobile phones were disconnected to ? We would just go back to conventional methods as previous genertions have done ,quite successfully ( without the at your fingertips information of course )

What about when yous go on 2 weeks + holidays ?

I do make it a point to stay away from computers/tellys/mobile phones

People who go to internet cafes or on facebook whilst on holidays is my biggest pet hate.

I pray for the day mobile phones stop working. Nobody ever thinks ahead now. Maybe without phones people will put some bloody effort into making plans instead of the constant inefficient misleading crap that's replaced them, wasting hours of everyone's time without any plans actually being confirmed.
    Person: hi how are you?

Me: Fine. You were saying something about heading out for a drink? Well, I'll be free from 7, how about Pub X at half past? Or we could try Pub Y instead? What's your preference?

    Person: Sounds good

Me: Uh, you said yes to both. So which one?

Person: I'll be in town around 8

Me: You still haven't answered the question. Which pub?

    *no response*

Me: Out of credit? Fine, I'm choosing then. I'll be in Pub X at 7:30.

    *hours later*

Person: hi I'm in Pub Z where are you?

Me: Uh, I'm in Pub X, like I said I'd be because you are incapable of making your own ****ing decisions.

Person: You could have told me!

Me: *sigh* I hate people. [to bartender] Whiskey. Lots of it.

I have thought about it again. Perhaps we do not need worry about or even think about this... it is part of our life,it is how we live ,isn't it?

First thing i back home is to open the computer, when the internet is disconnected,my flatmates and me just went "crazy"....

Do some reading, sports or hang out, should be good choice...

Just like when there's no access to a dishwasher, when my computer isn't working, it feels like a return to the Dark Ages. :)

I do all of the above but not as much as I use to .Even the TV has become a backdrop of sorts but I will always find time for a good book

theres plenty of things to do if the internet went down.
read a book or watch tv or go to the movies or go the gym or something so i would not mind if the internet went down it wouldn't really bother me!!

It would suck, but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Well ok . . . maybe after a prolonged time it would be.:(

Might as well cut off my oxygen supply.

I spend 16 hours a day awake, I probably spend 4 or 5 of those not on the internet. At most.

Well when my internet went before i went to put on my PS3 (only play online)..... then you realise that you can't play that as well.... playing the computer in games sucks now :D

I couldnt live without it, amy free time i have i spend online(on the PS3 or the net), it's either that or return to the boring old days where you would constantly flick round the TV channels hoping something will come on....now i can just watch what i like(that's streamed).... all said i'm active enough and play football for 8 mths of the year :D
