Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That goalkeepers jersey for Chelsea is horrible looking.

Was just thinking the same thing, Malouda with a stinker there, no left peg, then Park had a decent chance aswell, end to end stuff.

I actually think Park is a good player and would be missed if not with us. Some good chances today.

Park seems to freeze when presented with a chance from more than 5 yards out.

which he generally does nothgin with. He is very good at getting into dangerous positions - but he simply doesn't do enough when he gets there. He plainly lacks quality in the final third.

Foster is brutal, he never instills confidence.

Foster is looking a bit nervous, hopefully he perks up.

The charity shield itself. Don't think either team would be arsed if it went missing.

    true.

it seems utd caught them a bit cold in that first half hour.

not convinced it will stay this way, but this is how i expected the game to be from the start really.

our midfield just isn't doing enough - need to be quicker to stop chelsea. Looking at the bench, there isn't anyone (like Hargreaves, for instance) who can change that aspect. Fletcher and, in particular, Carrick need to step it up.

Anelka so close. Could have easily hit the post and went in. Chelsea finally starting to come back into it. Lack of determination and pace from them. They really need half time to regroup and come into the game from the first whistle in the second half.

folks what do you think of chelsea to score 1 or more goals in the match at 8/15

Foster is really looking shaky isn't he? Other than that, really happy so far :) Great cohesion

    Good effort Fletchinho

    exactly.

they did well for that first bit, in fact the whole team did. i was very impressed. in particular with Fletcher. a bit shocked if i'm honest.

they need to come out in the second half and, as you say, step it up again big time, or else you'll be hanging on to your lead a long way from full time.

United don't look too comfortable defending set pieces, or crosses into the box. Chelsea could get some joy there.

    Ivanovic looks dangerous

I don't think it is. Foster has looked poor on pass backs, haven't seen any problem with him beyond that - Chelsea are just stronger in the air than us and it is showing on set pieces and crosses.
