Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all!
Noobie here wondering about lenses for portraits as well as wide angle?
Is there a lens that can do both for me?
Price is an issue so can do with some older minolta lenses.

    thanks
    john

I would get 2 lenses rather than one for both. I have a sigma 10-20mm for wide angle (landscapes etc.) and 50mm f1.7. minolta for portraits, which i got off ebay.

I think they are both great! And they are the 2 lenses I use most. The sigma is quite pricey but there is nothing really cheaper than that for ultra-wide angles. tamron do a couple of wide angles but don't know if they are any good!

Sony also do a 50mm f1.8 that is reasonably priced for portraits. the sony 50mm f1.4 is a rip off imo!

    Hope that helps :)
