Not much happened in the first half Ro. Modric came on for the second half and started making things happen, he ran the show for most of the second half. Bassong looked decent, Crouch didn't really get into it and was subbed at half time. Pavlyuchenko was impressive when he came on,scored a great goal.

Watched it on tv. 1st half was chronic, like watching paint dry. Crouch did ok, won a few headers, and had a good tussle with Mellberg.
Bassong did ok too, hard to judge in a meaningless game like that, he's young and raw, just hope he turns out better than Kaboul did

2nd half was much better. Defoe,Modric and Pav looked sharp. Great finish by Pav for his goal. Will be interesting to see who starts up top.

On a side note, the rolls royce was brought out for 45 mins, hope he's ok for next sat.

Also meant to add, what was bentley at when he was substituted. He stormed passed harry and boateng and straight down the tunnel, and whipped off his jersey..... little pric* if you ask me.

I wouldn't say Crouch didn't get it to it - he one a lot of headers and knock downs, but the re was little to no support from keane, Hudd or O'Hara - HAD he been on the second half with Modric, Lennon and Defoe I think THAT would have been different!
