Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Folks,

I was recently at a regatta and a photographer was selling photos. Now he had a big LCD connected to his laptop and it was running a slideshow of pictures you could buy with the number underneath them. It had different transitions etc but I couldn't get the name of the program. Does anyone have any ideas? I amn't in it for profit but it would suit the bill of a function I've coming up.

    Many Thanks,

    ironclaw.

You just described every slideshow programme out there.
Can you give a bit more details?

Oh, sorry about that. Could you recommend a good one? I just want to download the shots from the DSLR, edit them if needs be and then drop them in a folder where they will be displayed in turn with a number attached to them. I don't need it to create a movie / DVD. Also, if it was freeware that would be an advantage

Picasa should do that too. Just title the pic with a number, click on 'show titles' or whatever on the slideshow and Bob's your uncle.

Even Windows (XP and Vista) has a slideshow option. Just open the folder, and run the slideshow.

There is another package called something express which is a complete package that allows printing, sales monitoring, slideshows etc. on it.

Borderfox uses it at the eventing shows. I can't remember the proper name for it though but I'm sure he will tell you.

A bit late coming to this thread. I think the program you are talking is EPS 3 - Event Photography Systems Version 3. You can do all you mentioned and more.

    Hope this helps
