From the Irish Times. Sounds good

TWO SPECIALLY selected casks of whiskey are sure to evoke memories when they travel along the Grand Canal from Kilbeggan to Dublin this August.

The shipment will be the first of its kind in over five decades. It is being transported to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the commercial use of the canal.

The Irish Whiskey Society was involved with that, although I wasn't involved with the tasting. Very good whiskey, it's supposed to be.

Yes 2 very nice bourbon casks.

Basically think Tyrconnell but with much more charachter and umph.

If anybody is interested here are some notes on the casks tasted.

    Both distilled in 2000

    Cask 4 (696) & 6 (700) are being bottled
