Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

*Photos must be on the given task.
*ONE photo per post. Post as many as you like.
*C&C to be encouraged - but be nice about it.

Does this mean photoshopping or food presentation?

    Love this!
    One question though:
Does the food have to be presented as though it's ready to eat, or can we have stuff like say... raw meat, or a pepper cut up and a shot of the inside of it etcetc? I have some ideas but I just want to double check before I enter :)

My bad, just took it at the weekend so didn't even think to check the date of the competition. I respectfully withdraw. :o

Pity, it is a great pic. First thing I thought was "how did they get the bowl to stick to the wallpaper". I know it's a tablecloth but it looks like wallpaper and the bowl looks as if it's hung like a picture on a wall.

You have to download the picture onto your PC and open it in any picture viewing software. Then right click the image and select properties. Tells you date, time and type of camera used!

Or you can download free software such as Opanda which will give you the full Exif info.

This is something I nevel would have tried without this assignment.. taken from the backgarden(on a ladder) through the open kitchen window.

All C&C -suggestions on how to improve layout, overall image etc would be welcome

First up, it's a great shot - well done. In fact it looks good enough to eat :)

One point would be to make sure the plate is absolutely spotless clean. The food skid marks to the right of the little corn things take away from the image - as does the staining to the left of the parsley.

I would have left the red napkin out too. There's not enough of it to be a napkin and the little that bit that is there is a distraction.

Other than that it's the business.

I tried to benefit from natural light as much a possible by placing the plate very close to the window-so this limited my angles within the kitchen- also I tried a bit of backlight(a first for me).

see here-the plate is behind the white tea towel-and there is a small light there also
