Do you want a purebred or are crosses acceptable?

Would also like to add that pups from rescue groups have usually been in foster homes and have been well socialised with people & other dogs thanks to the wonderful fosterers. I think you end up with a much more balanced pup if its come from a good foster home.
There are plenty of rescues with young pups. Dogs in Distress do great work and all of their dogs have been in foster homes. Even by looking at the site ya can see how well cared for these dogs are in their foster homes. Fosterers are always updating with pics and great stories. :D

I got my lab from A Dogs Life when she was 5 months old and we have an amazing bond. A dog doesnt need to be 7/8 weeks old to develop a bond with a human.

A woman here in my workplace has 5 purebred whippet pups that she is giving away for free. She has 4 males left. Just one female gone. Although she hasn't advertised them or anything yet.

She's actually worried she may not be able to get anyone to take them. The dog is her daughter's pet and she didn't know it was pregnant by her other whippet.

Well you obviously didn't even bother yourself to look at the links I posted, because they were for puppies aged 7 weeks.

I seen those lab x alright but i'd like a fawn as iv heard the brown and black labs are less trustworthy around kids:confused::confused:

You're not serious? Where on earth did you hear that? And I'm sorry, but I've never heard of a fawn labrador before.

I might be wrong but Im guessing fawn is another word for blonde.

No offence but if you are looking for a blonde lab for free then somehow I feel you will be looking for a long time, saying that you might get lucky! I think i say one around but it got booked fairly fast. and regarding the colours i have heard that for some reason roan cockers are statistically less likely to be snappy to kids, it could be because there are less of them but still...

Regarding snappiness if you like a pup it doesnt matter what colour it is, if it socialised properly then it will be well behaved, there are very few dogs who are born bad. My friend has a third generation wolf cross who is the sweetest quitest pet and that is because she was socialised from the time the got her and was sent to obedience school and trained well and consistently.

Hi there. I was searching the net for Whippet pups and came across this post. Can you tell me if the lady still has any of those pups available? I have a whippet pup of about 5 months old and want a companion for him. Purebred whippets pups are surprisingly difficult to get. I suppose they aren't to everyones taste but I love them...have had quite a few over the years and they're kept purely as pets.
Anyway, if she's still looking for good homes then maybe you could put us in touch and I can have a chat with her. I live in Enfield Co Meath and wouldn't have a problem travelling. I'll pm you my mobile.

    Thanks,

    Robert

Because i want a puppy as in 14 weeks old not 6 month's i'd prefer a pup so the bond is stronger my mums dog came at a year and a half and he is very hesitant to bond with anyone and i dont want that:D:D

i adopted a dog out of meath pound nearly 2 yrs ago, she was 9 at the time. She is the most loven dog ever. she has bonded to me as if she has been with me from day 1. also she is brill with my kids and ok with other dogs as long as they r not in her face, even then she aint aggresive with them she will just move away.
