Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I have a 00 BMW 318ci and theres a desperate rattle coming from the back wheels,it sounds like a loose cover of some sort but I can't find anything loose. Anyone any ideas what it might be?

    Rear anti roll bar bushes

if your handbrake feels loose from the inside it could also be the handbrake linkage

Handbrake is fine thanks Bonham. The anti roll bar bushes sounds more like it. Would this cause the ABS and traction control warning lights to stay on? Also how would I check/change these and are they expensive?

why, are the warning lights on?

Yeah they come on from time to time. Although I was beggining to think it was a wiring fault cos sometimes they're on more times they're not. I had it in the local garage about a month ago but they seemed more interested in washing it than checking it out fully cos the warning light still comes and goes.

To check your ARB's, het under the car and pull at the anti roll bar itself. If you see lots of give in it at the rubber bushes, they need repalacing. Not a big job, I did the rear on a SUV las weekend, €12 a side.
Re; the warning light, well worn ARB's would'nt be signalling that.
Pads could be worn, check them, check brake fluid etc etc.
