Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I remember getting a text about it from the IFA.
They agreed with the department that you can haul dead animals to the knackery yourself.
    I can't remember but I presume,you need a licence for this but I definitely got a text.

As this does the knackery out of a few bob profit on the collection,I'm not sure they would be the best place to get info on the scheme.

It may not be set up yet though but it was agreed.

AFAIK & I could be (most likely am) totally incorrect in this..... A vet can slaughter & blood an injured animal & it then has to be transported in a covered clean trailer to a factory, reaching the factory not longer than 1 hour after slaughter.

found out our local factory doesnt want anything to do with the scheme:confused: as they dont want people to associate animals in that condition with their factory

We had a heifer break her leg a few weeks ago.
We tried getting her killed to put in our own fridge and still nobody wanted to touch her.
so we just had her put down and sent to kennels.
only read about the scheame a few days later in the journal.
    what a waste!
