Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If I have something like puppy linux or pen linux on a USB key, can I store regular files it as well? Or does that mess up the OS?

If you'll be using it completely for Linux, then any install will allow you to store stuff in the free space.

If you want to be able to have a bootable Linux + a USB key usable in Windows, a dead easy way to do it would be to do a WUBI Ubuntu install, then follow this guide to copy it across to the USB key.

Ya, you can I'd say. I used to have a 128mb key with dsl on it, and I used it for transferring files and stuff from time to time. Can't remember what way I had that set up though mind.

I think puppy linux saves all your stuff as an image on he usb key, and on your first shutdown asks you how much of the key you want the image to take up. So if you just tell it to take up half of the key, then I'd assume you could use rest of the space for arbitary files. If your using it in windows then it would depend on the filesystem as well, it would have to be readable by windows. I think puppy uses FAT though, so would be grand.
