Android GPS Maps Offline

Hi,

This might be in the wrong place, not sure if i should post here or in GPS.


I just want to know if anyone has any idea of where to get offline Maps to use with the GPS.

I have and like google maps on the phone but it dosnt work offline. I dont have a data pack or want to get one.


I have Rmaps on the phone and it allows use of stored maps but now my trouble is finding maps. I would prefere getting free maps but would consider paying.


Any help would be good.

Personally I use copilot for my GPS but I had to root my phone so I could buy it.
Works fantastic though and you can get loads of maps for it

I don't have an Android phone, but Trekbuddy is a Java app and might work. http://www.trekbuddy.net/forum/

This site can generate maps for use with it: http://gm2tb.awokenmind.de/

The combination works on my SE C905

You could also take a look at: http://www.mgmaps.com/

Unfortunately Android doesnt have a JavaVM so standard Java programs wont work
