Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Summer time lie in, RTE are only slightly better than they used to be (8 am start) but its still pathetic. Mind you its also cheaper so as the RTE coffers empty it could be the future.

IMO it is playing into the hands of newstalk. How ever bad the nt breakfast show is, it is better than Maxi.

this temporary change in start time is pretty annoying. I'm normally on the road from about 7.05 to 7.40 so i usually get my fill of local and international news via Morning Ireland at this time.

Not a fan of Today FM so I end up switching to Colon and Dim-Dim on 2FM.

In fact it's just Dim Dim supported by Lindy "How're Your Telly Bits" Clarke these mornings. Listening to her every day saying that Reeling in the Years is worth watching and Dim Dim attempting some sort of riff noise gets pretty boring & annoying real fast.

    *Rant Over*

Edit: And don't get me started about Maxi who is covering the 7am -7.30am Morning Ireland slot. GRRRRRR!!!

    It's August buddy and that's what they do e v e r y August.

Have been listening to NT as result and apart that guy Conor Brophy constantly pronouncing 'o' as 'u' as in "Guvverment" and "cumming" it's quite passable.

Brophy himself is not bad if he shed the frikken semi scangery Doob accent.

or at least pronounced 'o' as 'o' .

    RTE's loss .

Simple solution, switch to Newstalk, their breakfast show is compulsive listening since Denis O Brien decided to put Ivan Yates in the hot seat.

In contrast I find RTE too formulaic also too constricted and restricted by the clock.
