Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Might be a silly question but I am a budding photographer. Do you have to be attached to a paper in order to be allowed to gain access to football matches etc or whats the deal? What do I need to do?

    Thanks in advance

Thing is, don't jump in at the deep end. Start of small with the local clubs etc and build up a portfolio. Then think about getting into the League Of Ireland scene when you're comfortable dealing with poor lighting etc.

*I did the complete opposite of this mind you and look where it got me

Do you then show your portfolio to the FAI or what to gain access to the LOI matches ?

    Every club can be different.

I actually went the same way as Ken. :-)

Some clubs want to see what you can produce, and what you plan to do with the images. Some will ask for your insurance certs (Public Liability Insurance). Some will let almost anyone in.

    There is no simple answer.
