They looked good against Inter and Athletico have had some dissappointing results of late. Can't see anything other than a Barca win at home, so I think 1/3 is a reasonable price yeh

Cardiff could be tricky they have a bit of an injury list, Newcastle are missing Shola Ameobi, I'd check the Leeds thread for some insight. So no, I'm not very confident. I'm actually thinking of going DRAW NO BET for most of the above selections.

I was looking at the preview for the Hull v birmingham game and saw this

Blues boss McLeish insists Birmingham's treatment room is "bursting at the seams" ahead of the trip.

Forward James McFadden (thigh) and defender Franck Queudrue (hamstring) are the latest players to join an injury list that already includes Cameron Jerome (ankle), Gregory Vignal, Marcus Bent (both hamstring) and Martin Taylor (ankle).

Midfielders Lee Carsley (back) and Damien Johnson (strain) are also struggling to be fit.

However, there are some positives for McLeish with the news centre-back Liam Ridgewell has made a quicker than expected recovery from his broken leg, and he will compete with the returning Scott Dann (thigh) and Giovanny Espinoza to start alongside Roger Johnson.

Full-backs David Murphy (knee) and Stephen Carr (thigh) are also back training with the first team and may feature as McLeish ponders whether to include summer signing Christian Benitez from the start for the first time.

Will never lump on Villa after last season. Me and a mate put €390 each on Villa to beat Stoke at 8/13 near the start of the season last year. Villa had beaten City 4-1 in the first game and Stoke had lost 3-1 to Bolton. Ended up losing 3-2. Most I've ever lost on a single game to date.

I don't think it can be overstated just how bad this Portsmouth team are. I'm considering putting a bit on the handicap too! The only thing that could go wrong is an early sending off- otherwise I think it's as close to free money as sportingly possible!

I'm a villa supporter too and normally I'd agree with you but this is as close as they are going to get to a home banker this season. There's little I can think of thats going against them. Having said all of that and having forced myself into believing it, the simple fact that i've posted it here probably means i've put a jinx on them.
