Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sweet, I got my goals rush coupon up, 5 games with €10 on at 12/1. :D

EDIT ****! I just realised that all the games I betted on were draws, a €5 accumulator wouldn't have gone a miss. :(

Yea I am very tempted to but a big bet (big for me) on England too.

Or maybe England and Russia like Headshot said he was going for.

that was peru's 2 win of the qualifiers, thought it was a sure win for Uruguay

im staying away from south America internationals, just too dodgy

for anyone interested brazil are against chile next and their missing 4-5 1st team players and they have already qualified

Today's goal rush coupon wasn't as successful as yesterday's. Did three games, Sudan were the only ones who failed to score. I don't know what possessed me into thinking they were a decent team, they were pathetic against Ghana.

    very interesting internationals

Bosnia v Turkey at home and 4 points a head of turkey who are 3rd and should extend that distance

    Wales v Russia it's Russia

Norway v FYR Macedonia Norway have to win for a chance to get 2nd if scotland lose

Belarus v Ukraine a chance to get 2nd if they win with 3 goals(Croatia take on England)

    what do ye think?

I am raging i didnt take the 18/1 on Adebyor at the start of the season for top goalscorer.

    He's now 10/1, good 1/4 1,2,3,4 E/W fodder

Anyone see any value in South Africa @ 3/1 or even South Africa & Draw @ 4/6 considering how many players we have out or are being rested?

Given the Irish team, there doesn't look like any way we'll be coming away with a victory from this one, so South Africa & a Draw @4/6 looks like a decent bet. If you really fancy SA though, you can get 9-1 on SA (-1) with pp

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,951 ✭✭✭✭Villain

Posted in the Gambling forum, I don't think South Africa are a good bet, they made 12 subs against the Germans on Saturday they lost 2-0.

I can't see Ireland making that many subs and Keogh and some of the other Irish players will be trying to prove a point, International friendlies are dodgy and I certainly wouldn't put a big lump on

I don't fancy them that much, not unless I hear about their likely lineup. I think they'll be putting out a strong team though.

EDIT: Right, fúck it. €10 on South Africa & Draw @ 4/6 and €10 on South Africa @ 3/1

I'm not going to have anything on the game, I tend to stay away from friendlies too due to unpredictability with line ups, subs etc. Was just posting up the odds as some ppl had said they fancied SA a bit. I'm going to wait til Wednsdays fixtures, probably England, Russia & Greece treble.

I hate betting on friendlies too, but with the upheaval I don't fancy our chances at all!

Wasn't this not banned after Sven changed the whole England line up at HT in a friendly before?

The team doesn't inspire confidence at all, and the 4/6 about SA & Draw does look good tbh, I just don't like having money on friendlies!

I'm thinking Holland with a +1 advantage. Odds are 3/10, so would stick 200 on it.

I wouldn't go near that match

Scotland are fighting for their lives and Holland just have nothing to play for mate

your only winning a small profit,is it worth it ? also sneijder is a doubt for Holland too

so that's my advice, best of luck if you go for it

Yeah I know what you mean, but the fight for their lives is why I'm interested - I think it'll open them up at the back...

Bulgaria + Draw at 2/1 is the best odds you will see in a long time.

Or even Bulgaria at 11/2 (Draw no bet)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,392 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Put a fiver on Russia to beat Wales 2-0 at 6-1 along with 2 big accums which if I'm honest have little or no chance of winning
    1st
    Belgium to beat Armenia
    Lithuania to beat Faroes
    Finland to beat Liechtenstein
    Russia to beat Wales
    Mexico to beat Honduras
    England to beat Croatia
    USA to beat Trinidad
    Scotland and Holland draw
    France and Serbia draw

    2nd
Finland, Italy, Norway,Mexico, England, Uruguay and Argentina to win

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 210 ✭✭Leixlip_Red

I have gone for a 5 team accum,

England (should be too strong for Croatia.. fingers crossed Defoe starts)
Russia (again, should be too strong for Wales)
Italy (will probably let me bet down drawing at home to Bulgaria... but I'll take that as it would be great for Irelands chances of automatic qualification)
Argentina (tough game but it is a must win for them)
Brazil (Very strong at the moment. Should be a comfortable home win)

Only €10 on for a bit of interest, it pays €113.31

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 173 ✭✭venividivici

    Nice 5 timer:

    Belgium
    Ukraine
    Switzerland
    Norway
    Portugal

staying well clear of England, Bulgaria and Holland games!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,043 ✭✭✭✭L'prof

    Right, my handicap accum:

    Spain v Estonia Spain -3 10/11
    Belarus v Ukraine Belarus +1 10/11
    Malta v Sweden Malta +3 10/11
Uruguay v Colombia Colombia +1 evens
Liechtenstein v Finland Finland -1 evens
Armenia v Belgium Armenia +1 evens
Cameroon v Gabon Cameroon -1 evens

    €1 @ 111.33

    EDIT: :o

Ireland - Italy to end in a draw (of convenience). What do you think ?

For Italy a draw is the same as a win (ie they qualify as group winners). for Ireland a draw guarantees finishing ahead of Bulgaria while risking a win may be pointless due to italys last game being against Cyprus.

    I predict dull 0-0.
