Nice, is there an expiry date for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 744 ✭✭✭absolutegroove

    Nice one OP.

Just got a first class weekend return from Dublin to Galway for €36.00. I was going to drive, but for that price I'll sit back and relax.

Now anyone know what's first class like on Iarnród Éireann:confused:

is it the very last stage of booking and there's a voucher textbox ready and waiting?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,009 ✭✭✭✭Run_to_da_hills

You need to register an account to book online, nothing to it.

I could get Wexford to Belfast but not Wexford to Dublin for some reason.

You can't reverve Wexford to Dublin, but you should be able to get an un-reserved ticket.

Maynooth to Dublin is Commuter which I don't think is included in the offer. I think it's only Intercity services.

stupid question guys but how do i create an online account with irish rail?

i click on my account and thats for existing account holders. wheres the link for new customers to register?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 817 ✭✭✭Quaderno

You will be asked to log into your account during the booking process (after step "seat reservation"). At that stage you can either use an existing account or create a new one. It is apparently not possible to create a new account without making a reservation.
BTW: I saved just about €26 today because of this thread. Thanks :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,787 ✭✭✭Jayob10

its gas, never really travel by train to be honest. is it just me or are they RIDICULOUSLY expensive??

even with the 50% off they are steep enough. Ah well I suppose I shouldnt be complaining. that good ould eire for ya!

I thought it was always cheaper to book online. Three weeks ago I booked three seats from Thurles to Tralee, €29.50. Same trip if paid for at the ticket office was quoted by the booking office when I phoned up as €60.

If there is a code did you perhaps try and guess it? It's not rocket science.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3 Little Mouse

I've been trying for the last three days and as soon as I select train times and hit proceed to reservation it tells me the page can't be found. Very frustrating.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,380 ✭✭✭sitstill

Does anyone know todays code, or is the offer finished?

Can't seem to find it.. thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,588 ✭✭✭Bluetonic

It was entered on the payment page in the 'voucher code' box, however this offer is now expired, it ran for bookings made on Monday to Friday of last week only.
