Irish Bankers Draft Abroad

If I give someone a Bankers Draft made out from the BOI can they bring it with them to Australia and lodge it into their account over there? Or do I have to get the draft made out in AUS$? Thanks in advance -Mark

BOI can issue a draft in Aussie dollars, which would probably be easier for the person lodging it. The Aussie bank probably wouldn't take a standard (domestic) euro draft, and if they did, they'd probably charge a fair whack for doing so.

You can also wire the money directly into the person's bank account if you have their details, which would be the most secure option.
