Historical house price data in Ireland

Hey, I'm looking for historical house price data going back as far as possible, or at least until the start of the 1980's.

I'm looking at the ESRI/TSB index and it only goes back as far as 1992, and the CSO doesn't seem to have the data I'm looking for.

Any ideas?

Decent house data is hard to get in this country.
Davy's and Goodbodies mght have some but chances of getting it are slim.

The Housing Statistics Excel Workbook has loads of info, give a look around the website for more. Do mind me asking are you working on a thesis?

Yeah, try the DOEHLG database, it has new and 2nd hand house prices going back to the 1970s.
