I've just moved into an apartment which has a phone socket, but I've plugged in a phone and the line isn't live.

I want to get Smart broadband, and they say it's available at my exchange (Churchfield in Cork).

Do I have to order a line connection from eircom first (€25.47 a month line rental)? Or do Smart have this exchange?

The Smart website says the 5MB package is €16.50 a month, I know this doesn't include line rental. When I click through, it adds the line rental of €25.47, so €41.97 total. Will that €25.47 be on my Smart bill?

You will need to order the line first from eircom.

Once the line is in you can then call Smart to organise the broadband order, they then take over your account and you pay everything via a single bill to Smart.
