Hmmm... That craving america site does seem pretty pricey for shipping. I'd a big enough basket, adding everything I hadn't had for years. Only came to $43 before shipping. I was already taking off my belt in preparation. Unfortunately shipping was $73.80

I checked the usps website, and they don't seem to be matching the usps site. Usps says I can get 20 lbs of gluttony (assuming I can fit it into a 11" x 8.5" x 5.5" box) for just under $40

Even the bigger boxes (with up to same weight) is $51.

Ah well. Have to head over with an empty suitcase I suppose!

By the way, if anyone knows where they do grape jelly over here....

This is what I had been looking for..

    Quantity SKU Description Price Total
    1 Tootsie Roll Snack Bars $3.85 $3.85
    1 3 Musketeers Bars Fun Size $2.88 $2.88
1 Nestle Baby Ruth Bars Fun Size $4.60 $4.60
    1 Nestle Butterfinger Bars - 8 ct $2.99 $2.99
1 Keebler Chips Deluxe Cookies Chocolate Chip $4.60 $4.60
1 Nabisco Chips Ahoy! Cookies Chocolate Chip $4.89 $4.89
1 Nabisco Chips Ahoy! Cookies Chocolate Chip Chewy $4.89 $4.89
    1 Pepperidge Farm Cookies Milano $4.03 $4.03
1 Pepperidge Farm Cookies Milano Mint $4.03 $4.03
    1 Crystal Light Iced Tea Mix - Makes 12 Quarts $5.46 $5.46

    Peppered jerky is the business.
I've only seen jerky here once and it was cheap muck compared the the dozen bags or so of peppered jerky I brought home from the US.

It is lovely stuff but it works out at 48euro a kg! tho its more like 2kg of meat because all the water has been taken out, still more expensive than fillet steak!

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,317 ✭✭✭CombatCow

Hey guys, just been reading over all your comments, i found a great irish supplier in dublin, helped me through studying for my exams with mountain dew code red and some milk duds. I think its a couple who set the company up, I ordered off them and they got back to me very quickly and delivery was free to my door in south dublin. check them out as I originally ordered from the uk and got killed on exchange and shipping. www.sweettoothcandy.ie

Hope this helps and let me know what you think. I will continue to do business with them as a very good service was given to me.

That site looks good. I am finding it tough at the moment to get anything started re: the American foods. My new job is taking me a lot of time, (some much to sort out and get exactly right) and decorating the house. I do hope eventually to get the American products in store. But for now I guess that the www.sweettoothcandy.ie is the best place.

Thanks for all the interest. And I hope we can all enjoy our American foods soon.....btw Im out of root beer!!!!!:eek::eek:

The Reese's Peanut Butter Cups...mmm! I was thrilled to see these in our shops. At Easter time I sit with a broken up egg and a jar of Peanut Butter and smear the choc with it.

I love American pancakes, their maple syrup and their coffee..and those 'biscuits' (little savoury scones) they serve in KFC over there instead of chips. You also get them in breakfast buffets..I luuurrve them sooo much. When you're eating fried chicken and one of these at the same time..the scone sticks to the roof of your mouth and is deliciously salty, just blends with the chicken.
