Anime Styled Games

Hi guys im new to this whole anime experience, i've grown in a convervative household, my parents are very religious and think that anime is evil. But now that im 16 they let me visit my friends from time to time, and one of them, has a vast collection of anime. So, i've been going to her house to watch what she calls "The classics"; Dragon ball, evangelion, and Saint Seiya. And I think they are masterpieces, in fact i thought it could not get better than that. But a few days ago when i was at her house i thought she was watching some new anime, but NO!, she was in fact playing a game. Its like an anime, but you get to be part of the story and decide how things turn out.

For some reason she was reclutant of sharing information about this games with me. I managed to squeeze the name of the game she was playing, its called Princess Waltz, im SO gonna buy it next weekend when i get my allowance =D. I'll leave a vid and some images so you can check it out.

But the purpose of my thread is: Does anyone know some other anime video game titles?. i don't even know the genre, so forgive my ignorance, its all my parent's fault =(.

Judging by the title of the video, you're after some hentai...
Don't think many people here will be willing to help a 16 year old find more of it:p

Perhaps she didn't want to share because it's a hentai game and hentai titles are pretty much sexually explicit porn so yeah no chance of a 16 year old getting a bunch of rec's for porn, pretty sure thats a forum no no.

On a side note interesting it was a girl playing a hentai title would have thought she'd have a collect of yaoi titles.

Eroge/visual novels are NOT what I would call "anime-style" games - they are mostly either interesting, or poor, stories with some Japanese visual elements & music*.
Very little "game" going on there.

*and sex. lots of graphically explained sex scenes.

why? not like anyone has gone "here's a bunch of anime porn links for young chap, just right for every 16 year old" Nobodies posted any so need for the mods to step in. Not our fault their friends parents don't check what their daughter is watching/playing.

The forum gets more spam then others as it's the first one listed when you open the full forum directory plus you get newbies posting threads for other forums here for the same reason. I find most of those issues dealt with pretty quickly by the mods. If you find spam sitting here for ages then make sure to report it so the mods know about it.

There's plenty of non-hentai visual novels out there. Try some of keys games. Like Clannad.

Kids parents religious so can't watch anime. Female friend plays Ero Games. 16 year old dude who has access to internet and likes anime doesn't realise that the anime game that his friend is paying is hentai, links a video with the title "hentai (Princess Waltz)". Also posts images from the game and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Hmmmm.

But yeah, a lot of eroge come out in SFW form these days -- see this article on TVTropes.

Mmmh... wonder what Tsukihime Remake will be like. And if we'll ever get Fate/Hollow Ataraxia translated...
