Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hello, I have just completed my leaving cert through Irish and I am not planning on attending third level for a year or two. I am just curious are there Irish speaking jobs available for people like me who are fresh out of school? I have completed my primary and secondry eduacation through Irish. Does anyone know?

Céard faoi post a fháil i siopa/teach tábhairne sa Ghaeltacht? Is féidir obair dheonach a fháil i Raidió na Life nó céard faoi taithí oibre a aimsiú i gceann de na eagrais Gaeilge.

I'll answer this part in English - what sort of jobs will any unqualified school leaver expect to get? Most decent posts demand a higher level of qualification/experience, regardless of language.

A chara, tá mé cinnte go dtuigeann tú nach féidir smaoineamh go dtiocfadh leat do rogha poist a fháil gan cáilíocht ná taithí. Ach sin ráite, ní chiallaíonn sé sin nach mbeadh deiseanna oibre ar fáil duit. Déarfainn ag an leibhéal taithi atá agat go bhfuil seans go dtig leat post bunúsach a fháil san earnáil oideachais, go háirithe sna luathbhlianta - cúntóir ranga nó mar sin. Is fiú fiosrú an mbeadh deiseanna eile a bhaineann leis na meán cumarsáide.

An fiontraí thú? An dtig leat teacht aníos le do ghnó féin, rud a bhaineann úsáid as na scileanna nó suimeanna atá agat? - ní amháin do chuid scileanna sa Ghaeilge, seachas iad siúd a úsáid i gcomhar le do chuid scileanna eile. Níor chóir amharc ar an Ghaeilge mar nach bhfuil beo ach "in a bubble".

jesus - the schooling true irish is **** eneough as it is never mind if we let randomers just out of leaving cert to teach it

It's common enough for school-leavers to gain experience in a supervised setting. Not the same as being left in sole charge of a whole class!

    Dia duit OP :)

Má tá tú i do chónaí i dTiobrad Árann, is dócha go gcaithfidh tú bogadh go bhaile nua chun cúrsa triú leibhéal a dhéanamh, mar shompla.
Ná scaoil leis an seans dul go cheantar nua chun taithí oibre trí Ghaeilge a fháil :-)

well i suppose if there letting the likes of people who only got 300 points in the leaving cert teach it then i suppose they would let anyone teach it

to teach irish you need a degree and a dip

Is féidir post samhraidh a fháil mar rúnaí le Foinse.

Ó. Tá brón orm. Tá Foinse marbh anois.

B'fhéidir a bheith i do cúntóir sa ghaeltacht ag cabhrú leis na daltaí? Ach, tá samhraidh críochnaithe anois - mar sin, níl a fhios agam cad atá le déanamh san ghaeltacht anois..
