Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Revisiting Assassin's Creed

I started a new game in this last week, to get the last few achievements before the second one comes out. I have to say, I'm really enjoying it.

The first time, I did all of the side quests in each city area (saving people, etc.) before going after the targets. This served to make the game much more repetitive and reduced my enjoyment hugely. This time, I'm doing the bare minimum before I go after the targets and it's way more fun.

The constant repetition of voice samples is still quite irritating, it really reduces the immersion in the game world. The combat is fun and the flow of movement is excellent. I can see how the game wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but its good aspects greatly outweigh the bad. Hopefully, Ubisoft will iron out the kinks for AC2!

Thats a great idea... I got bored with all of the sidequests and never finished it either. Might pick this up for a tenner and do the same....

Or you could download it for a mere €30 :p! It's certainly worth finishing, the main assassinations are excellent.

I really enjoyed this the first time around. Not sure I'd go through it again to get the flags, but it's certainly worth it for anybody who hasn't played it!

I only played it for the first time recently and loved it. The save citizen, pickpocket, assassinate etc missions do get a bit repetitive but climbing up walls and running across buildings never gets old. Looking forward to AC 2 now.
