Hi i’m doing the B.Ed and i’m picking English and History as my subjects!
Just wondering if anybody knows is there much continuous assessment in these subjects or just exams??

I don't think theres that much, mainly exams however I'm not sure. Some of my friends last year chose these subjects and loved them! Although History is quite difficult!

I've decided to do Bioscience, anyone know the full contents of the course?

I'm headin to Pats too!:D I already moved up cos i'm sharing with a friend who's going 2 UCD but we're living in Drumcondra and it's lovely.
I picked Irish and Bioscience, but I'm kinda worried about Irish as I only got a C2...:(

So can we register on the 24th or the 25th or do we have to go both days?

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,363 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

It should have said on the welcome pack. You should even have gotton a specific time as far as I know.

As for the Irish you'll be grand. Picked Irish and History myself. Keeping the Gaeilge on.

Is this definite? I read in the residents handbook that there is no internet access in any of the houses (my friend who stayed last year reaffirmed this also)

hiya ally mull, i was wondering about the broadband in houses too. After I read Sophie's comment I checked out the SU site, and there was nothing about broadband on it. I dont recall reading anything about it in the student info book. I was told by the St. Pats accom office that facilities are "bog standard"....so I didnt expect wireless! Then again I could have skipped over it when reading or something! Ah well we'll survive!!:D

I just read on some random site that there is no internet access, I guess I'll have to get that mobile internet thing for my laptop! But then again they may have only introduced it this year......:pac: Heres hoping!

Edit : Found out there is broadband! http://www.stpatssu.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=75:presidentsblogseptember&catid=6:presblog&Itemid=10
