Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I hope the north/south Ireland combo does the biz in central defence! Its the John and Jonny show :D

This is not good. This game just got a whole lot tougher.

This is not good. This game just got a whole lot tougher.

Birmingham have serious defensive issues, missing a whole load of key players, United should have enough today with JOS and Evans in the centre..

That defence would scare me but at least it's at home to a promoted club. Shouldn't have too much to do. Better today than away to one of the other big 4.

    Thought Raf was injured

    WUM I think
Picked up off the Man U website - clearly they can't tell Rafael and Fabio apart:

What a lightweight side! Still Rooney on his own should be enough against any Big Eck side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

Carrick and Rio not risked to be fit for Wednesday it seems.

Gona be an interesting game. Defence is weakish, lets see if Evans and Fabio can step it up. Midfield is a little weak, Fletcher needs a big game.

    Eh?

Brown's pre-season rust keeping him out of the team? I predict Sky's cameras show more of Owen on the bench than Foster in goals...

The Super Sunday graphics at the start. Looks very like Fifa.

It has taken Redknapp 1 sentence and 10 words to say "Top Player".

Not a team that fills me with the greatest of confidence but should be enough in attack. Nice to see JOS getting the armband - Scholes never takes it as he as always hated the attention/fuss around it, typical of him.

    CMON UTD

Yeah MIN its really hard to know what will work until the game actually starts. I've often watched buildup of a game and then it either just stops working or another event is shown.

When it starts I would try:

EDIT: think you have enough links above!

Off to the pub I go!

ESPN's "Super Sunday" and "Football Focus". They're pretty good at coming up with names for their shows. How do they do it? :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 756 ✭✭✭D.S.

More on Rio...doesn't sound good...although BBC are reporting something completely different to ESPN who are claiming it's his back...
1323: An update on Rio Ferdinand for you: he apparently sustained his calf injury in training on Friday morning and will go for a scan on Monday morning. Until that happens, Manchester United don't know how long he will be out of action for.

O'Shea and Carsely are the captains, great to see two Irish players leading out the teams, hopefully Carsley might wear the green again.

    Heres hoping Brum get bet:-)

Hopefully not long - and at least it's not a recurrence of his back problem. Seems Carrick's absence is only tactical, thankfully.

definitely, 2 arms around him and held him back. Lively enough start. Birmingham not scared to go forward are they?
