Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's so harsh - he's had an excellent first half.

    he was ok keane

gave the ball away a couple of times

I'd have to say it was an average first half tbh.

Fletcher has played a stormer this half, ran the midfield. Shocking miss but a great performance. If he keeps it up, he'll prob get another.

    An average performance from United.

Nani, Rooney, Berbatov, Valencia have all shown signs of stepping it up, and have at parts done well. Berbatov and Nani did very well for the goal I thought. Nani is up and down, but he's got the quality, and a run of games will give him the decision making. Berbatov is holding up the ball well.

Fabio has been absolutely outstanding. I still feel he's more advanced than Rafael. He has defensive discipline as well as great potency in attack.

I'd like another as although the defence has done well, a moment of magic is all it needs.

Thought fletch had a great first half meself, passing well and breaking up alot of brum's plays.

Terrfied Fabio is gona cost united a goal but some of his offensives runs are class.

We have been average at best.

We are still in 2nd gear at the mo. Anderson on for a bit of dynamism, Owen on too, should wrap this well.

    Rooney looking fantastic.

The birmingham team on paper is shocking but they have done well all the same.
However I can see United getting 3 in the 2nd half.

Controlled that 1st half well if im honest, scholes still has it in the locker. He looks very sharp and is pressing in the midfield very well.

Fabio trying to force it a bit and being a bit careless with 1 or 2 passes. Valencia looking very sharp I think and he would of looked alot better if the service out to him was better.

Berbatov has looked excellent along with Rooney. He is working very hard.

Evra has been best player on the park imo.

We just need to be careful from set pieces. I reckon Mcleish will change shape and throw an extra striker on fairly soon.

    Nani has been impressive

looks like he's carrying on from his preseason form

and foster to my surprise looks confident and putting in a good shift even dou he hasnt been really tested but all the same looking well

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,219 ✭✭✭✭Pro. F

Should be 2-0 what a miss by fletcher.

Brum getting plenty of bodies forwards which i wasn't expecting. But they're giving us loads of space when we have the ball and we're looking good imo. I think we'll score another few tbh.

I hope you are right but I don't see it happening. Looking like a 2-0 or 2-1 at the mo. As said already we are only in 2nd gear and need to get to 4th at least and show everyone what we can really do.

    Giggs on for Nani.

I think I'd like to see Anderson on for Scholes.

Are you watching the game? For an awful team it is only 1-0 where they have restricted United to very little in the final 3rd and could have had a goal by Jerome, also Evra cleared off the line.

I think Birmingham are giving a good account of themselves.

Now, Ronaldo should score from this free kick... oh wait...

ARGH!! RYAN GIGGS HITS THE TOP OF THE WALL EVERYTIME!!!

Why is he taking free kicks. Literally 98% of his free kicks hit the top of the wall and bounce over. LET ROONEY TAKE IT!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Some nice football there from Valencia.

    United should get another here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,703 ✭✭✭allybhoy

What utd fans think of Valencia so far? I think he's been quiet enough especially seeing as though he's up against Vignal.

I thought we finally had the answer to the "Who'll take our frees?" questions when I saw O'Shea standing over it. But it wasn't to be.:(

Treading carefully here today to not upset/offend any Man U fans:)

Alright game, Brummies certainly holding their own

They're getting a few too many chances now. We need to step it up, we should be hammering this crowd tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Rooney busts a gut to get forward on the counter attack and no one helps him out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 756 ✭✭✭D.S.

Would like to see Ando and Owen on now...

    daycent stream

    incase its needed

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

Berba should come off, his work rate is much higher but he hasn't really contributed anything. That header was his first attempt on goal wasn't it? Not really good enough for a striker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,825 ✭✭✭Mikeyt086

Well something needs to change anyway.
