Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    hi hi :).

Just wondering if anyone has bought a DSLR from a U.S. website and had it shipped to family over there but using and Irish CC with Irish billing address.

Looking for sites that will accept this as I'm over to my wives family in PA in November and want to order a Canon 50D with a couple of lenses.

I find the prices here are pretty high, case in point Dell.ie (yeah I didn't know they sold cameras until today :) ) 1400 Euro for body and kit lens, Dell.com 800 Euro for same....Dell won't allow me order from .com site and ship to US from Ireland.

    Any advice would be great....

    tks.

I did this with B&H 2 years ago - before I went to visit a friend in LA I ordered some stuff but asked them to ship it to my friends address...it arrived before I did !!!

brilliant service ...went to NY later in that holiday and actually visited B&H ....WoW what a shop and what knowledge the guys have....very efficient professional shop.

Also, I did this in June with BH and they were fine with it. They may require you to send them (securely, using their website) a copy of the credit card, so maybe have it scanned ready.

The last time I bought something they asked me to do this - only because the goods were being picked up in the shop there and then.

I uploaded the copy of the credit card, and they got it in seconds. I was actually very impressed.

    Hope that helps.

Done this plenty of times. B&H will want a telephone number of the shipping address and check it to make sure its legit. They also wanted my credit card scanned, a bill and some ID to make sure I was ligit too. Once youget past that B&H are a breeze to deal with. As its being shipped to PA you wont have to pay the 9% odd NY sales tax too. Easy as!
