Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Google prompts in every dialog box

    Can anyone help me with this problem where every word i type in my computer whether it be a dialog box or this text box i get the screenshots below.

    I know it's something to do with google but I can't find how to uninstall or disable it. It's seems to be chinese origin as it puts in "他哦" if i don hit the return key. Extremely annoying!!!

    Any help would be appreciated.

    It looks like this is spyware try scanning your computer using this http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ or http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/eng/partner/default/pages/default/check.html?n=1250447875985

    They are on-line scans ...maybe you might get more help in the other thread (Virus & Malware Removal) http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1009 that is if my guess is correct.

    Anyone else can confirm this? and then maybe move it to Virus & Malware Removal

    Don't think it's Malware, but can't hurt to check. I don't use it but it appears that you have Google desktop installed. May be try removing it?

    It looks like some kind of spellchecker .. is that part of Google Desktop or some other Google software you've installed? Maybe it's set to the wrong language as well (i.e. chinese)?

    open youe browser and click on the spanner icon at the right side of the menu on the google bar.

    restore the settings to default.

    is you still have issues uninstall google desktop in cpanel reboot and reinstall.

    :p
