Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Basically everytime ive set the time and date on my 360 i find that the next time i turn on the console the time and date will have reset to 00:00 and 25/11/2005.

Anyone else have this problem? It could be something dumb on my part but i've connected to Xbox live which should set the time correctly anyway and it still resets.

Are you definitely connecting to xbox live each time you turn it on, or logging in with a local account?

do you plug your 360 out at night? this can cause the date and time to reset.

I don't connect to Xbox live when i turn it on but it does log in as my profile on the console itself when i turn it on.

Ya i do. Maybe this is the problem though it seems unusual i often plug out my PS3 as well but the date and time are still set correctly.

EDIT: I just tested it there and this does seem to be the problem. I set the date and time and then turned off the 360 while leaving it plugged in. I turned it back on and the date and time were still correct. I then turned it off again and plugged it out and when i switched the console on again they had reset.

I presume they want you to connect to Xbox live everytime you turn on the console in order to keep the date and time set.

Thanks for the replies guys:). This had been bugging me for a while.

The PS3 has a cmos battery so can keep your time & date settings, the 360 doesn't so it will lose them if you turn it off at the wall for a few seconds (the old xbox had the same problem)
Signing into a live account will automatically sync the time, so it kind of sounds like you're not signing in properly, or are signing in locally...

I turn my 360 off at the wall whenever it isn't in use, but it always picks up the correct time when it turns back on (unless I have a problem signing into live)
