Repayment of post office savings bonds

Hi not sure if this is the correct forum but here it goes: I have some money tied up in savings bonds that I need to access. If I'm not mistaken I can redeem some of theses bonds at any time provided I give 7 days notice? Also how will I receive the money? Through a check or can it be transferred straight into my bank…
