Diverting Eircom home phone to mobile?

Can anyone tell me how this is done? or if it can be done. Need to do it for tomorrow if i possibly can. have tried *21* and entering the number to be diverted to but does not seem to work. does the service need to be set up first?

Make sure you have entered the network code as well. i.e 087 etc. If this doesn't work then ring Eircom on 1901 to set up the service.
