Does anyone know what the maximum personal loan limit a credit union will give to a customer? I know your savings and previous payment capacity is taking into account but I remember a couple of years back I had a substantial amount saved with them and they refused to pass me for a loan for double the amount of my savings.…

Does anyone know what the maximum personal loan limit a credit union will give to a customer?

I have called a couple of Credit Unions yet they are unable to answer my question.
I am also looking to know do the CU give deposits towards the purchasing of a new house.
