Are Moderators allowed to benifit financially from these threads ?. LOL

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

I put a 2 euro amount on the long shots and the "dead cert" but I only doubled on the first published long shot and the dead cert. When the Wolverhampton tip was put up an hour later I forgot to do doubles allround "just in case" Ah well...:(

    Still, I wont moan.

2 from 4 was good going and a nice profit of 30 quid in my case.

I think all pundits have a streak and Hugh is certainly on his now. :D

Won't complain, always do doubles when backing Hugh Taylor as you can bump your earnings nicely given the odds.

These figures are for 2009 only. I should have mentioned. I haven't included previous years stats coz I think they give a distorted image. I don't know if he was claiming back then or even if he could speak english. point is he's still making these profits, so if mike you were correcting me, thanks. If not then we have a mutual interest in this little foreign freak.

Also I'm aware HT posted this info but I have been keeping tabs on SDS for a few weeks. It just so happens I was looking him up the night before Rio Cobolo went in and thought I'd back the T-man up

HT quotes the price at 14-1, not 9-1. You gotta put it up as its quoted.
Of course, that long losing run is offputting, but he still shouldn’t be a double-figure price on his recent efforts and he definitely makes each-way appeal.

Does anyone find themselves not bothering to try and find a winner using thier own wit and judgement and now simply slaps a fiver or whatever on Hugh Taylors picks?

Yes and its working very well at the moment. I don't think I can trust myself to back a horse on my own.

I don't follow his tips, or anyone elses for that matter.

But I wouldn't be so quick to knock the followers. You've got to be very open minded to make money. Anyone who sits at the computer refreshing Hugh's page every morning with their bookies accounts open for the ready has certainly made a lot of money over the last month.

As it happens, this morning I browsed to Hugh's page (as I do every day). It showed me yesterdays page, I refreshed instantly and hey presto it was updated.
Knowing I was one of the first to see it, I threw a few quid e/w on Desert Dreamer at 12/1 as advised, knowing that at worst I could lay it off. It's now 9/1 best, soon to be 8's.

I didn't bother with the others. I have a e/w bet at 20's on Avertis in the 4.55, where he tipped something else.

Point is I wouldn't knock the followers. Hugh is the best tipster out there. I can't ever remember anyone as good. Take his advice for free when you can get it!
