    Howdy,

    I was wondering if it was possible to get existing software to take advantage of the processing power of graphics cards? Or does the software have to be specifically coded for this to work?

    CUDA is a separate API and needs to be written for.

    Ingenious really. There is a huge amount of power available in GPUs compared to CPUs.

    Cheers guys, was just curious as some of the sims i have run, split across 3 machines can take 5 days to run, so 15 days in total if i did it on one machine!

    I use matlab for coding/scripting. Its a pretty easy language to learn.
    There are currently a couple of plugin toolboxes that allow you to use CUDA within Matlab:
