Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Packing a pillow?!

I'm going travelling for a few months and during this time I will be doing a small amount of camping. So I'll be bringing my tent and my sleeping bag. I find it very hard to get a decent night's sleep without a pillow. But it seems like a bulky thing to have to pack. What do regular backpackers do? Wrapping it in a plastic bag and attaching it to the outside of my rucksack seems like the only option to me...

    Cheers!

How about just bringing a pillow case and stuffing it with some clothes?

Pillow case sounds like a good idea. You dont want to be lugging around a pillow. What about an inflatable one too?

When I camp I normally just wrap up a few hoodies or jackets and rest my head there. So bringing a pillow case is a good idea for sure.
Inflatable pillows would be a way to go but Ive only ever seen them for sleeping on planes/buses, ie the kind that dont have much air in them and wrap around your neck. There may well be inflatable camping pillows on the market that are a lot bigger and will give you a better nights sleep than the plane/bus variety.

I brought an inflatable pillow with me and I’m glad I did dead handy and takes up no room. I got mine in Aldi when they had camping stuff on sale. If you cant find one ive also once bought a box of wine drank the wine took the bag the wine comes in out of the box blow it up and hay presto you have a pillow!
